Infosys Bpo Offers Enhanced Sales Support

Infosys BPO, the business process outsourcing subsidiary of Infosys Technologies, has launched an enhanced offering in the areas of sales support and fulfillment operations. The sales support suite of services will reduce the amount of time spent by sales organizations in non-value adding administrative tasks, thereby freeing up time and enhancing productivity, a company release said. The suite of services includes lead qualification, customer profiling, quoting, pricing, service revenue assurance and channel partner support.

NIIT Limited Reports A 40% Rise In Its Fiscal Net profit

India’s largest IT training company NIIT Limited on Friday reported a 40% rise in its quarterly net profit to Rs 24.7 crore, from last year, on the back of increased enrollments and return of growth in the job market. “Hiring is back in full swing in IT, financial services and BPO sectors. We expect large growth from the education sector with the government passing the Right to Education Act, this year,” NIIT Limited’s CEO Vijay K Thadani told ET.

IT Park Bags 8 BPO Bookings

Realty major Ashar Group’s IT park here has bagged bookings from eight BPO firms, including leading player Intelenet, and plans to set up a four-star hotel in the vicinity to cater to business visitors. “We have already got bookings from eight BPO firms, including Intelenet. This IT Park has the potential to generate around 12,000 jobs,” Ashar Group’s chairman and MD Mr Ajay Ashar told reporters here.

Patni Computers Wins A Multi-Million Dollar Deal From US Company

Information Technology and BPO services provider Patni Computer Systems said on Tuesday it has won a multi-million dollar deal from Universal American, a senior health insurance company in the US. “It is a five-year agreement for providing end-to-end policy administration services for Universal American Corp,” Patni Computer said in a statement here. In addition, Patni has also signed a definitive agreement to acquire CHCS Services Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Universal American, it said.

Although Cebu has topped last year’s survey as the world’s top emerging destination for outsourcing and off-shoring, an industry leader here bewails the lack of enough manpower in Cebu’s business process outsourcing (BPO) to meet growing demand in the sector. “Cebu does not have enough economies of scale to supply BPO firms that continue to expand here.
