Many businesses are going through a tough time because of the recession.  Others are growing despite the economic conditions we face.  In either case, amall companies need working capital to survive or to fuel their growth.  Traditional bank loans may be the answer if the owner qualifies (typically requiring profitability and personal credit score of at least 670).  But what if there have been credit issues or the business has gone through a rough time but is poised to come out of it?  What if the bank line of credit isn’t enough to accomodate future growth? Invoice factoring is an excellent alternative to conventional financing.  One of the main advantages is the availablity of immediate working capital.  Once an account is set up with a factoring company, the client can submit invoices for advances up to 85% of the total amount and have the funds wired into their bank account within 24 hours.   Instead of waiting up to 60 days to get paid, the cash flow is there when you need it to pay bills, payroll taxes, and other obligations. Accounts receivable factoring is also good for companies growing rapidly because this form of financing is only limited by the firm’s pool of accounts receivable.  As the company grows, the invoices available for factoring grows with it.  With a line of credit, the amount is typically fixed in nature.
