A combination of three achievements: Fast 500, 2nd place at the national business strategy awards, 90th place in the 2010 TOP 100

Pentalog, or I as an entrepreneur, I don’t know for sure, has just been ranked 90th company by the French Magazine “l’Entreprise”/Ernst&Young in the 2010 top 100 most profitable companies in France that achieved a sales figure of more than 10 million euros. Of course, being on the 90th place out of 100, we could aim for a higher position… but taking everything into account, 230 companies met the competition criteria and there are probably several thousand which didn’t achieve the minimum thresholds to participate (namely a sales figure of at least 10 million euros, a minimum growth of 20% over the last 5 years and positive profitability for the last fiscal period). Obviously, there are already fewer companies behind the gates

I am joining the strategic committee of Bar Ilan University in France

I have decided, following a request from friends who are already members, to join the strategic committee of the Bar Ilan University of Tel-Aviv, in France. For me, as French citizen, without any known Jewish origin, firmly believing that globalization improves relationships between peoples, this is about contradicting the ambiguous orientations of too many French academicians who recommend boycotting Israeli universities

Change of tone on the blog: should I give in to the deceivingly seductive voices of political correctness?

Even within Pentalog there are little voices who kindly suggest every now and then that some of the opinions that I develop here make me get too personally involved in areas that are too remotely connected with the object of the company. The criticism that I sometimes direct towards French or Romanian internal policy in particular sometimes generates a certain amount of discussions within management circles. Generally, I justify the choice of stating my opinion on certain subjects by recalling the fact that our economic model derives directly from the political decisions of the different states in which we are established.

01 Informatique selects and puts together Jacques Attali and Pentablog posts

So the leader of the French IT professional press reads Pentablog. This piece of news in itself makes me happy, as I have always been a regular 01 reader. Last week’s “blogs” heading touched again on an article that I wrote a few months ago, bearing a somewhat provocative title, but which, in reality, was not: “ What about the French being able to make money and create jobs by leading globalization ”

Jeune Afrique dedicates an article to the offshoring in Maroc

I answered the questions of a Jeune Afrique journalist a few weeks ago and I found his article. Although I share many of his conclusions and confirm that Pentalog will soon embark on a tour of North Africa, for the obvious linguistic reasons that one can imagine, I would have insisted, however, on the fact that the offshore outsourcing market is not represented ONLY by France.
